Feel like a fish in water

The Canoraft or river kayak consists of descending the Genil River in a section of grade I-II (calm waters with some small rapids depending on flow), ensuring the total safety of participants. The activity takes place in a two-person inflatable or rigid kayak, accompanied by a specialized guide who will accompany you in another individual boat.

As the participant is the one guiding the boat, the difficulty level of the activity will be medium or low (+14 years). Check according to the river’s flow!

Just like in rafting, this sport guarantees fun. Along the way, there are various rapids where coordination with your partner will be crucial to navigate the river’s obstacles.

At the beginning of the activity, the guide will give basic instructions on how to act in the river. No prior experience is required.

The activity takes place in the Cuevas Bajas section of the river, the same section used for family rafting.

*On low-flow days, there may be some sections where the boat needs to be carried for a few meters. Please consult us!



DIFFICULTY

Medium-low difficulty: CALM WATER SECTION. Section Cuevas Bajas (Málaga). Depending on the river flow, it can be medium or low difficulty. Please consult us!

APPROXIMATE DURATION

1-1.5 HOURS OF DESCENT APPROXIMATELY (2.5 – 3 HOURS IN TOTAL). It varies depending on the river flow and the physical condition of the participants.



SCHEDULE

Two daily departures:
Canoraft Cuevas Bajas stretch: 10:00 or 16:00 h Schedules may be modified depending on the water release times from the reservoir.

CANCELLATION

– If the cancellation is due to causes beyond the company’s control, no refunds will be allowed for the reservation (whether it is a group cancellation or an individual participant).

– If we are not notified at least 3 days in advance that a participant will not be taking part in the activity, the full amount of the activity must be paid.

– Gift vouchers are non-refundable. Activity opening dates are not fixed, they depend on environmental factors. Check them on the website or call us for more information.

Required Equipment
To kayak on the Genil River or the lake, each participant must bring:

Swimsuit and towel
Sunscreen
Closed water shoes or rigid sole aqua shoes
Change of clothes and footwear for after the activity

REQUIREMENTS

The canoraft activity on the Genil River can be done with a minimum of 4 participants. If there are fewer of you, you can join other pre-formed groups. Contact us!

WHEN CAN IT BE DONE?

The canoraft activity on the Genil River (Andalusia) can be done from March to October. This is because it depends on the river flow, which is regulated by the release of water from the Iznájar Reservoir.

METHOD OF PAYMENT

50% deposit when choosing the date and time. The remaining payment is due upon arrival at the activity or two days in advance.
