FUTALEUFÚ RIVER

Located near the equator, this river originates in Argentina, though most of it flows through Chile. Its flow increases with glacier melt, making the river extraordinarily full and turbulent. It’s set in a natural park where rafting is often combined with other activities such as rock climbing and horseback riding.

UPANO RIVER

Located in Ecuador, this river is one of the calmest among those on this list. It’s popular among fishermen due to its abundance of fish, and it also forms many beaches visible during rafting trips. However, it does feature Class IV rapids in some sections, ensuring an exciting adventure just like the rest.

TATSHENSHINI RIVER

This river runs between Alaska and Canada, giving you a good idea of the cold climate surrounding it, with its icy white water. Although it’s not the most difficult, the beautiful landscape and wild environment—where you may spot grizzly bears and moose—make it one of the most appealing rivers for rafting.
