Rafting Guide Course
5-day course -> Voluntary company practices -> Level test -> Possibility of employment with our company.
This is a preparatory course in Andalusia for the IRF (International Rafting Title), which we will be examined on during the summer, subject to a minimum group size and once the students are fully prepared to pass. It is not an exam suitable for beginners.
Exam fee for the certificate: approximately 175 euros. Exam in September.
PRESENTATION
It is a very intensive course that provides students with solid instruction, with a particular emphasis on practice.
As part of this training project, we will expand the study and training of all the materials used and techniques employed in white-water river descent with a rafting raft, as a foundational preparation for obtaining the I.R.F. Certificate (International Rafting Federation).
Our main goal is to train future rafting guides for our company.
ISSUED CERTIFICATE
“RAFTING GUIDE CLASS II-III” (After the subsequent exam and obtaining the I.R.F. certificate.) * This is not included in the course.
MATERIALS
The personal equipment that the student must bring includes:
– Water whistle
– Swimsuit for under the wetsuit, towel, sports clothes, and footwear.
We depend on the current flow, so it is highly likely that lunch will be by the river with a picnic to make the most of the day.
DURATION AND LESSON ORGANIZATION
Training Blocks:
8 hours daily (Fridays will last 4 hours).
One day with: One theoretical session of 3 hours duration + practical session.
Four practical days.
Practice Block (optional):
OcioAventura Cerro Gordo reserves the right to structure a certain number of practice hours for students who want a future job as a Rafting Guide with our company, to ensure adequate preparation.
The company reserves the right of selection for future employment if, for any reason (motivation, aptitude, attitude, etc.), they are not suitable for the job or practices.
