Rescue 3 International Course: SRT-ADVANCED (Swiftwater Rescue Advanced)

The ADVANCE title is the second part of the Rescue 3 certification. It is an advanced instruction that takes place after completing the SRT-1. This advanced course specializes in river, flood, and floodwater rescue.
It is an intensive course of 3 days and 1 night with 35-40 hours of instruction.

Upon completion, the Rescue 3 International Certification – SRT ADVANCED will be issued.

The certificate is valid for 3 years.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be over 18 years old.

Must be able to swim at an advanced level with good technical skills, in good physical condition, and in good physical and mental health.

Must have completed the SRT-1 level.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Designed for professional rescue teams (water rescue, firefighters, civil protection…), potential professionals in the sector and whitewater or mountain sports enthusiasts (rafting guides, canyoning, kayaking, mountaineering…), and professionals who require advanced rope handling in possession of SRT-1.

MATERIALS

The personal equipment that the student must bring includes:

Life jacket harness, whitewater helmet, wetsuit (overalls and jacket or full suit), booties, trekking boots or shoes (for use in the water), 2 cords of 7mm, 2m long, 3 safety HMS pear-shaped carabiners, 4m long webbing, whistle, knife, and headlamp.

CONTENT

Review of SRT 1 techniques, delving into rescue scenarios and more complex situations, with rope techniques from different angles, including a night of search: Simulations in a real scenario of a pinned foot, access to a vehicle or boat, and rescue with a stretcher. Includes a night simulation of victim search in a river accident.
